Terms of use
Terms
These terms describe the conditions for downloading, purchasing, and using Kiiboard and its desktop companion.
Last updated July 18, 2026
Acceptance
By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using Kiiboard, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.
The software
“Kiiboard” includes the Android keyboard, the directly distributed Sync Edition, the desktop companion, and related website and documentation. Features may differ by edition, operating-system version, device manufacturer, and platform policy.
The Play Edition is distributed through Google Play. The Sync Edition and desktop companions are distributed through GitHub releases.
Purchases and refunds
Google Play processes purchases for the Play Edition. Prices, taxes, payment methods, refunds, and purchase restoration are governed by Google Play’s applicable rules and your agreement with Google. Kiiboard does not directly receive your complete payment-card details.
Permission to use Kiiboard
You receive a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to install and use Kiiboard on devices you control, subject to these terms and any distribution-platform conditions.
You may not misrepresent the software’s origin, use it to violate the rights of others, bypass applicable security controls, or redistribute modified binaries as official Kiiboard releases without permission.
Your content and devices
You remain responsible for text, images, credentials, commands, and other content typed, stored, copied, or synchronized with Kiiboard. Only pair computers you trust. You are responsible for device security, network security, backups, and reviewing clipboard content before pasting or executing it.
Sync availability
Clipboard sync depends on Android background-execution rules, local-network conditions, firewalls, battery settings, desktop permissions, and operating-system behavior. Continuous or error-free connectivity is not guaranteed. Platform-policy changes may require features, permissions, or distribution methods to change.
Updates and compatibility
Kiiboard may be updated to add features, fix defects, address security issues, or remain compatible with Android and desktop operating systems. Some updates may change or remove features. Older releases may stop receiving support.
Third-party services
Google Play, GitHub, Android, Windows, and macOS are provided by third parties. Their availability and policies are outside Kiiboard’s control, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.
Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kiiboard is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from every defect. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of Kiiboard, including loss of clipboard content, data, credentials, productivity, or business opportunity. Any liability that cannot be excluded remains limited as far as applicable law permits.
Changes and contact
These terms may be revised as the software or legal requirements change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
Questions can be raised through the Kiiboard releases repository or the support details on the Google Play listing.
